Bee Friendly Gardening Practices

Date: Wed. 8 May, 2019 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Duration: 2 Hours

The Sagadahoc County Beekeepers Association will be holding a regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 8th, 2019 at the Topsham Grange Hall located at 47 Pleasant Street in Topsham.

Doors open at 6:00 pm for socializing and refreshments and the business meeting starts at 6:30, followed at 7:00 by guest speaker Eric Venturini and his topic will be “Gardening using bee friendly practices“. Eric is a Farm Bill Pollinator Conservationist and NRCS Partner Biologist, Eric also works at the Maine NRCS State Office. Eric spoke at the Maine State Beekeepers Association Annual Meeting in 2018, and delivered a fascinating talk on the interactions between honeybees and native bees. If you want to help bees of all kinds, but don’t necessarily want to stare into a hive of your own, this might be just the meeting for you.

Anyone interested in beekeeping is invited to come learn about your local bee club.
